Receipt Export Pro Privacy Policy

Overview

Receipt Export Pro is a Chrome extension provided by Blue Crow Systems, the app trading style used by Blue Crow Technology (Blue Crow Ltd, company number 16499488). It extracts expense information from a webpage you invoke it on or from a PDF or image you select, then saves the result to your own Google Sheet.

Information the extension handles

• Receipt content, including merchant, transaction date, total, currency, VAT or tax and visible page content.
• The Google email address you use to connect the extension.
• Google OAuth access and identity tokens required for sign-in, Sheets and Drive features.
• Trial and subscription information, including trial start and end times, trial eligibility, your plan, status, renewal date and Stripe customer or subscription identifiers.
• Extension preferences, Google Drive folder identifiers, short-lived entitlement cache and the latest local extraction diagnostic.

How receipt processing works

Webpage extraction runs in your browser after you click the extension. For PDF and image text extraction or OCR, Receipt Export Pro uploads the selected file as a temporary Google document in your own Google Drive, exports its text and immediately requests deletion. If deletion fails, a file beginning “REP OCR TEMP” may remain in your Drive and can be deleted manually.

Receipt files and extracted receipt contents are not sent to Blue Crow Systems or its licensing service.

Google Sheets, Drive and optional source archives

The extension requests your verified Google email and the drive.file scope. This scope limits access to files the app creates or opens. It uses that access to create and update your monthly expense sheet.

Source archiving is off until you enable it. When enabled, the extension keeps the selected PDF or image, or a PNG screenshot of the visible portion of a processed webpage, in Receipt Export Pro/YYYY-MM Receipts in your Drive. The month comes from the extracted transaction date, or the processing month when no date is detected. You control and can delete these files in Drive.

Development regression capture

The optional development regression feature is off by default and is intended only for developer-owned test receipts and pages you are permitted to retain. It stores a small extraction baseline in the archived source file's Google Drive metadata. It does not create a separate text file. The built-in runner reprocesses the preserved source and compares the result.

Authentication, licensing and billing

The Google access token remains in Chrome's local extension storage and is not sent to the licensing service. A separate Google identity token is sent over HTTPS so the service can ask Google to verify your email and check your Pro entitlement.

Stripe processes payments. Blue Crow Systems' licensing service stores your verified email, trial start and end times, trial eligibility, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, plan, subscription status and renewal date for as long as necessary to enforce a one-time trial and provide billing and Pro access. Blue Crow Systems does not receive or store your full payment-card details.

Sharing and use of data

Data is shared only with Google to provide sign-in, Drive OCR and Sheets export, and with Stripe to provide subscriptions and billing. We do not sell personal data, use receipt content for advertising, create browsing profiles or use data for creditworthiness or lending.

Receipt Export Pro's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Retention and your choices

You can turn source archiving and regression capture off in Options. Turning them off stops new copies but does not delete existing Drive files. You can delete retained files and monthly folders directly in your Drive.

Disconnecting Google from the extension removes locally stored OAuth tokens, verified email, entitlement cache, folder identifier and latest diagnostic. You can manage or cancel a subscription through the Stripe billing portal.

Your rights and contact

You may ask us to access, correct or delete personal data held by the licensing service. Contact support@bluecrowtechnology.co.uk. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Receipt Export Pro or its data practices change. The effective date above will show the latest revision.
